The problem with the spam was extensive. The resulution to that was to have some kind of captcha to prevent bots to register accounts. The last weeks we had to turn off the forum registration posiblitity. The issue is that the theme we had, Arrow, have not been updated for a really long time. And so...

Due to the spam, the account registration process is now needed to be activated by an admin, as opposed to email verification. This should be temporary.

it seems its getting worse and worse, indeed. i updated the forum some week ago and i hoped it would be better then, but obviously it didnt. I'll look into this in a near future.
