Re: blast from the past.

Yeah it's kind of broken, but I could still cruise around tonight earning cash and the pit just happens to be in the middle of the road so no problem finding it. :P Do you still run a Fern Bay layout? That has to be my favourite track still. It'll take me a while to get used to these open layouts to...

Re: blast from the past.

Hello all, back again after more than 3 years. CLC popped in to my head today along with LFS generally, and I decided to see if the server was still as good as it used to be. I'm glad it's still around and is how it used to be: I still can't find the gold because it's OOB, I can't find where to take...

Re: So, about that iPad that Apple have announced...

While it's probably a good idea and it'll make them more monies I'd personally prefer to stick to my WinMo smart phone and if I want an E-reader I'll buy a kindle. :D

Re: Case needed

Nice. I couldn't find a case I was happy with when I added the new stuff so I stuck with my iCute. Everything fits in fine though (despite having to use all sorts of odd screws to hold the extra HDs in) and there's somehow more empty space now than there was before. :really:

Re: Socket 939 - selling

I've had a look on eBay, but nobody seems to be selling CPU/MB/RAM bundles. Anyway, decided on the new components now. :D Asus P5Q PRO, iP45, S 775, PCI-E 2.0 (x16), DDR2 1200MHz, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, Yorkfield Core, S775, 2.83GHz, 1333MHz, 12MB L2 Cache, 4GB (2x2GB) Cors...

Re: CLC Gumball 1000 Saturday 9th May!

Fitting new components to my PC this week and cleaning the brakes on my Land Rover too, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to join you all. If I can it'll be in Quad core heaven. :D

Socket 939 - selling

This is mainly aimed at Bobo because he told me that my processor might be worth something, but all opinions are welcome. I want to ugrade to quad core Intel power now, so I will be selling the following: Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe Athlon 64X2 4200+ (running at 2560Mhz) with stock heatsink & fan 2GB ...

Re: CLC Gumball1000 Saturday 9th May!

Mid-day Saturday to 2am Sunday to do 1000km... I'm in!

Only one question: Does it need to be a solid 1000km or just a total (IE an extra counter that isn't reset when you pit)?

Re: Case needed

If you want silent cooling then a massive low RPM fan or water is the only practical way without risking hardware damage. Speedfan will let you slow the fans down or stop them as the CPU usage drops, and it will fire them up as it increases, but I still wouldn't trust it overnight. This would be ide...

Re: Case needed

I know what you mean, the skeleton is perfect for that.

I nearly went for this a couple of years ago because it looked a bit more special.

I agree, sniper looks nicer, although I personally prefer the CoolerMaster on the first page.

Just jumped into this thread, might've missed something. :D

Re: Offroad Event

Wow.

Cheers Chris. Keep the server up, I'm sure I can make a few layouts you could use. Shame you can't use tweak online, I have a setup for a monster XRG buggy that would eat that course.
