Server shakeup!

Good evening folks! :lfs:

Just a little word from us here at [CLC]!

We're having a little reform in the server!

The police force is going to be monitored in a more strict fashion. This means there will be no more messing around when you have the tag on. No hot lapping with the tag on and less overall corruption! This means if you have the "on-duty" tag then you must be active and chasing people. Not just patrolling around. We want to make it fun though so we may be altering the system to encourage police chases (watch this space).
Any mis-behaviour with the tag on will result in being told off and a possible de-motion. We used to have one of the most well known police forces on LFS and we want to have a force we are proud about again!

We are going to go through the tow group and remove anyone who isn't active at the moment. They will be allowed to re-enter the group if they come back after a brief exam.

The Admin group will also be slimmed down to make sure only active members have admin rights. If a non-active admin returns they may be allowed to re-join the admin team at our discretion.

This post may be edited as i think of more things to add, but as it stands yeah - We're going to be monitoring the server closer than ever to ensure a great cruise experience!

Many Thanks,
[CLC] Admins!

Hello!
I just wanted to share some of my thoughts that came up while reading this post.

Right now, being in cop chase is negative, because you have 25% driving income rate. I find that unnecessary, because you already have a CLC cop on your back, who will most probably send you to pitlane in condition 3 unless you give the chase up earlier. Getting less money during condition 2 (and during all of the chase) is unnecessary in my opinion. You could even give it a positive multiplier (like 1.5x) if you really want to encourage cop chases, but that is also unnecessary.
Main idea is that there is no need for double punishment.

My second thought is about tows. I dont know all the details, but seems like the only good thing about being a tow is ... being a tow. Which is arguably a good thing (You have some amount of pressure to tow people when you dont want to). Tows have their tag and the awareness of some players that the tow has passed the exam (or w/e you call it).
I suggest giving tows something which would make being on duty more desirable. For example, a free !pitlane while being on duty. Or even a reward system for towing people. Just some kind of perk, nothing fancy is really needed.

These were some of my thoughts.. The current situation is that TC is unplayable, RC is abandoned. So CLC is by far the best. (IMO)

Thank you for the feedback!

I get that it seems like a double punishment, but if you are actively running from police in real life, do you have time to do your job and earn money, or rob another person? You don't. So the lowered income, I think, is not so bad. It's part of the risk of getting in a chase.

As for the tow group, we have been thinking about doing something about it for some time, still a work in progress..

Hello!

I understand that reduced income is more real than normal one.. . Rikki said that you want to encourage police chases, so removing reduced income could help.
And i wouldn't call having reduced income in 100% of all police chases a "risk". 100% chance isn't a risk, "risk" is that you Might get busted, not that you Will always earn less money during chase, correct me if i am wrong.

Your server, your calls.

Anyways, thanks for feedback.

I recently had my house's facade insulated and was shocked by the average price. It seems like such a simple process, but the cost was much higher than I anticipated. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Share your thoughts on the pricing of facade insulation in today's market. Let's discuss!
