Faster? Golf GTI or Mercedes Benz

Ok. I have got a Golf GTI Mk3 2000CC petrol Fuel Injected Golf and my mums got a Mercedes Benz C220 C-Class Coupe Kompressor (German for Supercharged) Automatic petrol i know the Merc is a 53 reg and The Golf is a R reg 11 years of age being looked after with some TLC from me and my dad and i was wondering witch is Faster?
Anyway here is some pictures these are the cars i haven't taken any as of yet!

Also Kompressor is german for supercharger (crank driven rather than gas driven like a turbo)

just cos its more powerfull doesnt mean its nicer xD i love my car.... like actually LOVE it,

its only a 1.0 so its cheap to insure

I'd say the Golf is a bit quicker from 0 to 60, its lighter and has manual gearbox which is quite an advantage (if the driver can handle it), but beyond 60 the merc's probably gonna win due to more bhp

I would have to figure that the Merc would be faster. faster 0-60 and beyond. Besides, German cars running on boost are not wimpy on power.
Kompressor is Supercharged.

if it's the 8v Golf, it's pants. If it's the 16v it might stand a chance 0-60 wise. Other than that, the merc will destroy it.

Edit: I don't mean pants as in completely useless, just compared to the Merc and the 16v. I liked the 8v, it just wasn't a racer. Suspension was soft as hell, dangerous during overtaking.
