Event start is delayed...
some server side issues are preventing us from updating some server settings to support the event. As soon as normal service is resumed we will kick off the event. More info as soon as we have any to post.
UPDATE (24/12/10 @ 1300) Problems persist but are continuing to be worked on.
UPDATE (31/12/10 @ 1900) There is a chance that we will be back in business tonight. If so we'll kick off the new year with the Gumball.
UPDATE (1/1/11 @ 0030) Well we're not quite there yet. But as soon as we are we'll be running. All applicants have been added to Gumball group and the times have been set in server config files for when we can change tracks and reboot.

CLC Gumball 1000 * 7 - 10th January
As a little festive fun CLC is proud to announce the next Gumball event.
In a change to previous events this will be run over 3 days - 1200 7th Jan 1st to 1200 Jan 10th.
In the tradition of past Gumballs participants will be limited to cars without slick tyres (so no GTRs).
The aim of the event is to compete 1000km, but those who participated in the last event know that there is a possibility to go for even bigger distances since InSim has taken over the running of the Gumball....
All entrants will be added to the Gumball group for the event.
During the event your distance bonus and "gumball distance" will be tracked seperately.
If you OOB / Timeout or leave the server directly for any means then when you rejoin your distance bonus will restore to the last bonus achieved and your "gumball distance" to the last full 100km. So... if you crash out you will get a big fine, but your distance bonus will remain (for three days
). Now do you see why big distances are possible?
If you pit then you will lose your distance bonus, but not your "gumball distance".
If you change car you lose all kms.
Prizes (TBC) will be awarded for:
Completing 1000km
First in class (UF1 / Road / Turbo / Race) to finish.
Most Gumball km
Most Laps (in a single run)
Best Skin
Spirit of the Gumball
