Question about speakers
My girlfriend bought the notebook and I wanted to borrow her my speakers, so far as to scratch along to listen to music. Therefore, I bought a headphone plug, and I intend to solder to it wires from those speakers. Now, two questions:
1. How do I know which core in the wire is the mass, and which is the channel? From the speaker goes double-core wire, each has its own isolation, one is red and the other is black and red. Do I need to remove the speaker and see which is + and - ? If so, what is what? The guy at the electronics store told me that in general it makes no difference, if only don't mix these wires.
2. For example, if the output jack in notebook has more resistance than the speaker (4Ω), it can somehow harm speakers or for example I can lose in the quality or level of intensity of sound?
translated by internet translator and I wrote some, so sorry if you can't understand it

Re: Question about speakers
You wont be able to connect big speakers straight to a laptop, you'll need some sort of amplification (An amplifier) between the laptop and the speakers, unless the speakers are powered by a plug already?

Re: Question about speakers
Indeed. The best thing imo would be to buy a cable which takes the laptop's 3,5mm jack and takes it up to 2 tulip jacks.

They aren't too big, they have just 15 watts each.Bobomoomin wrote:You wont be able to connect big speakers straight to a laptop(...)

Re: Question about speakers
Any form of loudspeaker needs a type of amplification, without it they can only be as powerful as a pair of headphones.

Re: Question about speakers
Okay, after I considered it all I came to the conclusion to put off this invention, and soon to buy ordinary computer speakers or maybe even a 2.1 set. Anyway, thanks for your advices.

Re: Question about speakers
Omfg, today I came up with a great idea! I don't have to "play" with wires, plugs... I can just connect micro hi-fi player to the notebook and wires normally to the amplifier... n/c please...
