today i've taken it apart to inspect and somewhat clean it, and its the transmission alright that doesn make this run atm. Goggle told me also a sad story, its quite difficult to find a replacement for it, even global ebay is dessert it seems. Also i've learned that there are some variations on the RC10, and not knowing mine doesnt help. I'll ask the local dealer some day, but my hopes aren't high. Even general TA-parts seems hard to find.

Re: My another Hobby
Okay. So today i learned that the transmission actually can be taken apart, despite my assuredness that it looked pre-assembled, glued together and all.. but it wasn't.
Ive also recalled, thanks to this page, that my car is a RC10 Worlds car, i totally recognize the manual when i see it... still haven't found it irl.
Together with he manual Ive identified within the transmission that i need, and now the hunting begins for those parts. If i dont succeed, or it gets costly as hell, i might do some more 'creative' solutions, i do want that car running! if neither of those succeed, then plan C is just to sell the parts of it and make bucks.
In case yer interested:
6570 'idler gear' (see pic below. rly. Must have.)
6579 2x'diff drive ring' (see pic below. rly. Must have.)
6608 'gear dust cover'
6571 'drive gear'
6566 'felt seal'
6577 'right diff hub'
6578 'left diff hub'
preferable also this, but could handle without:
6906 4x'3/8 x 3/16 unflanged bearing'
6903 2x'3/8 x 5/8 unflanged bearing'
6589 2x'5/32 x 5/16 unflanged bearing'
(and batteries and 'servo wheel', whatever its called... the thing to the right in photo)

Re: My another Hobby
You made a great work on it ... Just to know how difficult it is to hunt some rare parts, I can only advise you to be patient ...
I already took 6 month to have all parts to get a whole differential ... So patience is TEH word ^^

Re: My another Hobby
here's my two RC cars:
HPI Savage X with a BIG 4.6 CC agressive nitro engine.
its a sick RC car, it blasts away with only two wheels touching the ground
Topspeed: around 85 Km/h
i also have a electric drift / racing car, but i dont have any pics of it yet.
its a black silvia s14, painted and styled it myself. - yes, it looks bad
I got drift tyres for minumum grip and soft racing tyres for maximum grip.
Topspeed: around 35 Km/h

Re: My another Hobby
Uhm, ok, this is the thing, i need some help and advice with this RC10 Worlds Car.
I've took it apart, cleaned, bought spare parts on ebay and learned the car, something I should have done twelve years ago when i bought it. Now it remains only to buy a server savior (the server horn thingie, whatever its called) and batteries. The batteries has made me come to a choice, but i dont really know what to do with this car. The problem is that I have batteries thats 12 years old and has to be must be replaced, and after some research I found that LiPo is the way to go. That makes some question in a chain reaction kind of way. My interest is to drive the car and partly tinkering with it (to ultimately drive). But i am not a collector.
Specs:
RC10 Worlds Car 6037
Electronic Speed Control: Tekin TSC 411-p2
Servo: HiTek standard HS-422 RCD Apollo 10
Recipient: HiTek HP 2RNB (27,195 MHz) Two Channel AMSingle Conversion Receiver 26,327
Engine: Kyosho Krypton Krystal 14t
I really do like the cars 'clean' design of the chassis with its settings possibilities. So a first question is whether it is worth investing in this car (to drive with it). With the "worth" I mean, apart from financially, that I dont want to be stuck in a few years, having a car with no way to get spare parts and no way to drive it. The option would then sell it and buy a B4 or similar. In that case, whats it worth selling it for?
However, if I choose to invest so I get other kinds of questions. To get LiPo,
1: Do I need to get a new speed controller? Might there be some kind of 'adapter' to connect which might be a good option?
2: Must / should I get a new engine? (does the stealth gearbox handle that pressure of the new power?) what could be a suitable engine to buy?
Of course I am curious what this stuff costs, novice that I am I do not know really what specs I should get on things, or what's cheap / expensive / stupid. 2S 40C for batteries perhaps?
I can tell you that besides from the steering (servo horn) it works great, I tested yesterday at home with old batteries that had enough for like two minutes :p
Btw, if anyone has tips on Swedish shops selling Team Associate-stuff that fits this car, I am very interested in the infon!

Savage 4.6 SS with Picco .27 (4.2cc) engine. More power, and a hell of a lot more pain. Broken 3 pullstart handles, broke the string once and busted the one way bearing in half twice. The thing kicks back quite hard.
I will post pictures if the rest as soon as I can find pictures.

Re: My another Hobby
Took some pics, here.
I came to think that even if I could get ordinary Ni-Cd batteries, I will of course sit in the same position in three years, so they are not the issue itself, of course. So im thinking about buying new (b4?) for the money.

Re: My another Hobby
Allright. I went through and put my other two favorites together again.
My HPI MT2 18SS. Original tires are frickin awesome once the tread is gone.
Top speed is 75-80kph.
Electric TC3. This thing gets raced hard.
Motor: 19T Single turn ball bearing motor.
Speed control: Novak GT7
Top speed: unknown with the 19T motor... 100+ Kph with My Novak Tempest and My personal hand wound beast of a motor.
Other than the 3 pictured I have the following.
HPI Savage 21
Kyosho Optima Mid SE. ( 20 year old 4wd electric buggy)
HPI RS4. Electric 4wd, belt drive, 2-speed touring car.
Traxxas T-maxx that I built a new extended chassis for, made all the mounts, and driveshafts so I could stuff my .26 engine on it.
