Oval rule explanation

Post by cherryflip »

Hello all,

This is a cruise server, not a race server. As the welcome message of the server says: drive like you would in real life. In real life, if you encounter a slower car, you will have to pay attention and carefully overtake this car. This might require you to drive on the wrong side of the road.
In cruising, you basically do the same. If you encounter a slower car, you will carefully overtake where you can find a gap, and might need to go wrongside to do so.

The oval is no exception. Slower cars have just as much right to be on the inside line as the faster cars. After all, this is a cruise server, not a race server. Just like in real life, the overtaking car must take care, pay attention and carefully overtake. The inside line is not reserved for faster cars.

We hope this explains our reasoning behind the rule well enough.
Thank you!
