Nice idea.. but that would have seen two thirds of the teams dq'ed from the last event.Chris wrote:how about making it a bit harder?

You need a penalty to ensure that no unfair advantage is gained... but equally, one that doesn't cause eveyone to give up.

i absolutely love the idea of a cannonball style race.mjh93sa wrote:Basically an illegal street race (in the manner of the gumball / cannonball / carbon black despite their claims )
edit: (misready something first there)
how about a penalty of several kilometers (like 20km = 2-4 laps, depending on track) subtraction from total amount of kms during that particular event? (jj, possible in CLIS?) for every time you're getting caught by a cop?
being caught 10 times by cops means spectate for 30 minutes (jail)?
additionally, to make things more interesting for slower classes, maybe prizes could be given out by class - so best drivers of each class win something.
only 2 cops on track at all times (taking turns) except when there's a cond3 or higher, then additional cops can form backup, returning to pits/police station after they did their duty. only 2 cops because tracks are short and you certainly don't encounter a police car every 2 kilometers on real tracks. if you catch the drift

Re: CLC Endurance Event Suggestion
I really like the idea of just having a full tank with no refuel, tyre change etc and just see how far the car can go.
I understand timeouts can be an issue but there could be a suitable penatly, what about if when the play rejoins after a crash/timeout they have to fill up using (fuel=maxfuel-lapsdone) where each lap done equals 0.75% of fuel. This is a big penalty considering you can do a lap in the UF1 under < 0.5% a lap. Maybe take it a step further and work out an equation that works out how much a completed lap would equal in fuel based on the total laps done. Beucase having it a fixed value will mean that the later you have the penalty the more impact this has on your race.
This would all have to be checked by admins when a player rejoins by taking over there car aswell. Maybe make things a big easier by the admin leaving pits first then the participant takes over.
This has been very complex to explain...
Also, please can we have it so people can run this one solo if they wish?

Re: CLC Endurance Event Suggestion
I see two possible events here,
One for point A to point B style AKA Canonball style, where you have to reach a certain lap count (this is distance Point A to Point B) No sorry, inSim cannout reduce lap count, yes it can reduce KM's counter but inSIm is too unstable/risky to run a whole 6 hour event.
And another event that sees how far you can go on one tank. w/ penalties.

why full tank? we can also do it with, like 10%, and if u go obb etc, u just start again
i know that u can go very far with 10% if u rly want

With the police in the mix, how would you make sure nobody ends up saying "the cops were always after me"?
