CLIS 3rd Birthday - December 2009

As some of the old hands / farts out there know we are rapidly approaching CLiS's 3rd birthday. On the 16th December 2006, the very first In-Sim cruise application went live and CLC proper was born. It's been a long journey from that initial start point and CLiS and CLC have evolved out of all recognition from it's humble beginnings.
In order to celebrate 3 years of cruising CLC will be holding a series of events, slightly delayed until Saturday 19th December so that even those of us who have to work for a living can join in the fun.
Events will start at 1430GMT and head on into the evening. Expect a varity of tracks and a variety of events to be taking place.
Timetable:
1. UF1 Sumo (KY2) 1430 - 1530
2. UF1 Banger Race (FE5R) 1545 - 1615
3. Drift Challenge (KY3R) 1630 - 1700

5. Ragtop Racing (SO4R) 1900 - 1930
6. Revenge on Police (WE1R) 1945 - 2015
7. CLiS Quiz (AS7R) 2030 - 2100

9. Jump Around (AS5R) 2230 - 2330
We will be trying to keep to the above schedule, but will have to see how things go. If races are overrunning they will be finished early to ensure that we can get everything in.
Events:
UF1 Sumo (KY2)
Head-to-head challenge knock-out challenge. Push your opponent out of the ring to progress to the next level.
Participants will take it in turns to face up to each other in a knock-out contest. Each winner moves forwards to the next round until we get a winner.
Prizes: 1st 20000 2nd 15000 3rd 12000
Banger Race (FE5R)
As simple as it gets. A 10 lap no holds barred banger race in the awesome race machine that is the UF1. Your opponents will be as dangerous as the track. Anyone running in the wrong direction will be ejected.
Prizes: 1st 20000 2nd 15000 3rd 12000
Drift Challenge (KY3R)
Take any car you like and then having bought a driftmeter attempt to get the highest score for drifting a single lap. Contestants who do not have sufficient wealth for a driftmeter will be loaned the money to purchase one. They will of course be required to pay this back after the event.
Prizes: 1st 20000 2nd 15000 3rd 12000
Destruction Derby (FE4)
As simple as it gets. A 10 lap no holds barred destruction derby in anything up to and including TBO class (RB4 / XRT / LX4). Your opponents will be as dangerous as the track. Anyone running in the wrong direction will be ejected.
Prizes: 1st 20000 2nd 15000 3rd 12000
Ragtop Racing (SO4R)
10 lap race for open top cars only (UF1 / LX4 / LX6 / RAC / MRT).
Prizes: 1st 20000 2nd 15000 3rd 12000
Revenge on the Police (WE1R) 30mins
We know how everyone really hates getting pulled over and fined all the time, so this is your (one and only) chance to get your own back.
All Officers present on the server will be out and patrolling, but will not engage anyone, for any reason! That's right, you could get away with anything. Just remember though that although they won't enagage you it doesn't mean that they won't defend themselves!
CLC / CLiS Quiz (AS7R)
We'll be putting your knowledge of CLC and CLiS to the test. All parkup and answer a selection of questions on CLC and CLiS. All are common knowledge and / or searchable on the fourm.
Prizes: 500 per question + 1st overall 10000 2nd 8000 3rd 5000
Pancake Race (BL1R)
The big race... with a chance to win an MRT!
Any car up to a turbo class, racing at Blackwood over the jumps. If the winner of the race has completed more than 20 laps then an MRT will be awarded to the winner.
If someone wins the MRT who already has one then they may donate this to another player (no cash transfers).
The pitlane will of course be sealed for the duration of the race and racers who have crashed out will be returned to the pits.
Prizes: 1st MRT or 20000 (if not enough laps completed) 2nd 15000 3rd 12000
Jump Around (AS5R)
As seen during the first birthday event, use the sandpit jump at the first turn on AS5. Each driver has one attempt (offline practice only) to execute the best jump that they can. Points will be awarded for style, both in the air and on landing. Points will be deducted if you go out-of-bounds or cannot drive away afterwards.
Prizes: 1st 20000 2nd 15000 3rd 12000
Skin Competition
Submission on the forum (a thread will be opened on the the 19th December) and to be worn during at least one event. May be seasonal and CLC themed.
To be judged by the Admins.
Prizes: TBC (depends on how good they are!

Finally: Remember that anyone messing about on the server will be ejected and will receive a hefty ban!
