Problem with ancient pc

Okay so i've been helping my brother with his ANCIENT pc (1.8ghz athlon, with an AGP card...) The problem is that, I can't find out the make/model/ of this very AGP card. It's not in the bios, On pc wizard, In devices (comes up with Video controller (VGA compatible) and on the card all it says is 'ASUS' .. So i'm clueless, as obviously the card needs a driver.. lol.

Any help? it's pissing me off to be frank, been sitting on it installing, and reinstalling for hours due to a reformat error, and i've had enough. All's well apart from the driver.

Thanks in advanced

does it say on the card what it is? nvm i re-read it.

I think i have found a generic agp asus driver, just checking it out for viruses.

ill just check for viruses

Virus free, give it a shot. There is a rar folder within a rar. Unrar them both.

What i tend to do in those situations is to look google series of number printed on the card itself, that usually does the trick after a few string searches. Not just the one in the corner that are 'obvious' to be a model number (if any), but even series of numbers you dont imagine has anything to do with the model can give a clue about what model it is. As plan B of this method you can google on the model numbers on the chipsets/memory etc (like "123a351e1 asus agp"), but thats a longer shot.

If not i think there are software that can identify by actually asking the hardware, dont know any specific though.
