oob fine

Post by cherryflip »

hello,

i hope i have a good idea this time..

since no one likes to get the 1200 fine for going oob:

can the fine be lowered (and tow fine too) and then when a cadet/officer is on duty the policeman puts the fine back to 1200 and 600? i cant remember who but told me (i have a poop memory) that the high fine is for people trying to evade the police fine. so i thought maybe there is a way to adjust the fines?

The fine for OOB is not only for evading the police, but also to promote safe and sensible driving in the server. The level is currently set so that someone using an OOB to evade a police chase gets a fine similar to that which they may have received.

However, consider the condition whereby you receive such a fine. It is as the result of a major accident which has rendered your car undrivable and/or in a position from where it cannot be easily recovered. The resultant costs of recovery and repair are therefore considered to be significant and so the charges that are made are quite small really.

In the first release of CLiS you were actually fined one half of the value of your car for an OOB, so something of the order of 50k for a GTR.

What is really needed is for people to drive within their own limits and to be nice to others and refund them when they are the cause of that player having an accident that results in them going OOB.

I just like really difficult games, I remember back then if you have a full set of cars it was an amazing achievement, now it's really only a matter of time.

Overall the system now is far better though since it's more fair and there are less arguements :)
