i was wondering how many people in CLC server use them/pay for them; and if its worth it to pay for them.

I use hi-res skins, coz when i got my license i put an extra 3 pounds on, for credit, lol, so i get 6000 skins.

ye the "hi-res" skins cost 1 pound / 2000skin downloads.. but i want my skins as real highres! 2048x2048

Some peeps make their skins in 2048x2048 from scratch. Then you download them from where ever they post them up on the web.
Skins that are 2048 need to be created that size specifically for them to 'look' high-res'.

I strongly suggest you DO NOT rescale 1024x1024 skins to make them 2048x2048. You do not get increased detail when you do that. Just a larger skin that fills up more video memory and still looks the same.
So basically there is not point doing that.

hm... well anyone wanna make a thread to share 2048 skins? since i usually only use this server, i dont see the point in searching all accross the web to get a bunch of peoples skins if im just going to see cars here.
