Aston, Monday 3:30AM GMT--
A tribute jump contest was held to memorialize the late Evel Knieval this morning at the Sand Jump near the Lottery Cashing station.. A challenge was issued by TLMotorsport to clear the far side of the road and still land on 4 wheels, with a 1000 euro prize to the first to accomplish this daunting challenge. There were a few brave souls who stepped up to try and meet this challenge some of which are; Ralli///Art, LTC's own 4556, and even Officer Pass took a break to give it a shot. Multiple attempts were made by all comers, however none of them could come close to the mark. At points the landing area resembled more of a junkyard with upto three contestants at a time who had rolled and were in need of a tow. To help further promote the contest, TLMotorsport towed or helped pay for any towing needs the contestants needed. It was also reported that Pass even pulled out the fabled FOX formula car to try and get the most acceleration/speed before the sand jump, however this too proved futile as the aero work on the high speed racer kept the car close to the ground and not be able to get the flight time needed to clear the road.
