Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to announce that tonight we have launched clis version 2.3. This new version includes many things which we thought would improve your driving atmosfere in our 'servers'. We listened to your demands, your requests, your grunts and moans, and this is our reply.

The new version features:

- A new server, with a new track/layout Aston north. (CLC's Aston Cruise)

- A new system for the databases, hence the two servers can run in perfect harmony without issues, like before.

- Increased cash flow: cash flow has been increased by 15% to suit your needs.

- New color system for the !stats, making them more visible.

- !stats command now has a 'close' button, which you can click to close the stats display.

- New command: !pitlane, for a 600 euro charge it will teleport you to the pitlane, it has a 15 second wait period. In this 15 seconds you have the option to !cancelpitlane, which cancels the request.

- Improved core performance, improving server side stability, minimising the mass disconnects.

Enjoy, and pls report any issues over in this thread.

ASTON Highways-Autobahns Centre Lines

Shameless/Cheap Plug/Advertisement follows:
9 1/2 hours later............ (Aston texture mapping is really whack and its really hard to get proper lines to work)

 Sidewalks + dual lanes (no more racetrack curbs).

DOWNLOAD Aston Highways 1.3MB <<<<<
DOWNLOAD Aston LFS Default 1.0MB
unpack the CLC Aston ".dds" files to lfs/data/dds

Info:
Inside highway lane might look too small, but its for slower traffic - UF1's If I make it wider the inside MAIN lanes then becomes too small for GTR's.

The only way to make centre lines for Aston is to make it 4 lanes because it has some seriously bizaar mapping for its textures. So its either 4 lanes like this or nothing I'm afraid.

There are now 10 or 11 wrong way traps (thanks to PVL for getting it all started). One of them is in the most retarded place but it will catch someone that is being a total idiot.

First I have to say :

A REALLY FANTASTIC WORK OF CLC-CREW

second then, yes Sean, I thought it will be the best when the

wrong way traps are placed from the first day on server.

I hope it will make drivers staying on their own side. 8)

So long, enjoy Aston North as I will sure do. P V L

Good work on the track. Spent most of today racing round =)

Feels very different to the Carribean, In a good way. I always felt CC was closed in, one tiny little mistake and you get thrown out.

Now in Aston the tracks are wide, Corners long, Lets you open the taps that little more, Great fun.

What are you, high? What about the extreme hairpin on the new track? And the undulating S-curve? I feel the way you feel, but swap the names of the tracks around.

It is good the way it is. Think of all the things you did not like about the FE track (The Narrow tollbooth, the pit exit where everyone dies, that sandtrap from hell, and it even has its nasty hairpins too)

The tollbooth at high speed section curves is really horrible. Make it out of solid barriers or leave the place open.
Also the barriers all around between lanes make it only harder - I have problems with staying on the road cause I don't want to hit barrier and I keep going on the grass. It would be safer if barriers were grouped only in places where they are necessary.
And do something about hairpins - the inner lane should be wider cause it's hard to turn there with low steering lock setups (it may not be important for wheel users but for gamepad users it might be tricky).

I still like Caribbean Cruise more cause it's sunny there and feels warmer.
