Was the computer turned "ON" ? Doesn't sound like it.
No its some setting in vista, it makes file transfering really slow. Forget what I did now, there was so many issues I can't even keep track of them.

edit: best part was I could download something off the internet in a half an hour then it would take a hour and a half to copy it to a location...
Well I say ChrisP steals Wentz22 spelling skills.

ChrisP says Wentz22 steels signatures.

BUMP! Got my new (well, really old) PC, I have to say I'm surprised. It came with 2 Radeon 9800s

Even with 256MB RAM and a 1.8Ghz CPU, I still get 40FPS with a full field of AI with average graphics settings. I was like  My new-ish PC has 2GB RAM and a 3Ghz processor, and gets 40FPS with me on my own and graphics settings at there lowest...

The problem is, it's riddled with virus' and spyware. I will probably have to format the HDD. But, I don't have any of the driver discs that came with it. Would I be able to download all of 'em of their manufacturer's site?

Also, it is uber-slow at everything except rendering games. So I need to get some RAM. Here's the official motherboard info:
The dell site wrote:Memory

Architecture RDRAM
Memory connectors four
Memory capacities 64-, 128-, 256-, and 512-MB non-ECC RDRAM
Minimum memory 128 MB
Maximum memory 2 GB with Microsoft® Windows® 2000 and Windows XP;
512 MB with Windows Millennium Edition (Me)
Memory type PC800 (non-ECC)
Memory speed 40 ns or faster
BIOS address F8000h
Any PC800 I've looked at are way too expensive, most being above €100 for a single 512...Is there a way around getting the expensive ones? Ideally, I'd like 1GB, I'd be happy with that...

Sorry I got the model number wrong...twice :?

As far as I know RD-Ram is dead technology. The first Pentium 4's used it, but the prices remained to high for the technology to compete against regular DDR-SDRam
