Yeah you haven't got many options besides an upgrade.

I forget my specifications, but my PC definitely isn't top of the range. I bought an emachine for £300 and then added a geforce 7600 GT & 1GB crucial. My frame rate never drops below 25FPS and that's with EVERYTHING at max, it's smooth as hell, especially with "RefreshLock". So I'm very pleased with that.

I hope you get what you want. Any kind of lag... is just infuriating. :evil:

that sounds like my pc.. i bought 250€ linux pc with some lousy graphics card and i also bought Geforce 7600GT Silent 8) fps 30<

Some tracks are just rediculous with more than 3 cars. SO is undriveable for me with the new hi-res graphics...

If not already done: try changing Full Size Textures = NO in Options >> Graphics

This puts it back to low res textures mode which should be eqivalent to pre Y-Patch for South City. (maybe even less, I'm not 100% sure)

Yea I had that off, but I forgot it made 'em lo-res...
