Hi all, I have recently been trying to make an animated gif fo my avatar recently and i have PARTIALLY succeeded... I have followed a couple of videos and downloaded some software and have succesfully made a gif, it is in a Quicktime file. I have tried to put it on as my avatar but it says it is too big (must be less than 48kb...) I know this is a bit of a noobish question but how do i change it to be a smaller file? I do not have Quicktime pro and i cant seem to see how to make it smaller I hope someone can help because i spent some time watching all these videos, downloading software and making my silly little gif looking forward to seeing peoples answers

i tried making them smaller, that still didnt work so i found out how to open it in picture manager and then i compressed it, but somehow doing this made it not a gif anymore...i am so confused but the avatar i have now is part of my gif, sam can you tell me how you did yours???

Compress all the pictures(i know you've got paint.net, so when you do "save as", save it a jpg, and whilst your doing that, there's a compression option afaik(..er or is it quality. If its quality just put the quality down)) you want to use in your GIF-file. Then, take them to your program and animate them like you did before, when it was too big. I can't think why it would be too big unless your pics are too big, so try it.

Ok dont worry guys i got a new program and it works fine! Il be practising when i can but for now i have this one
