LX Owners Club
Right here goes. A few months back I was amongst a nice little group of people all driving LX cars on CLC, and it was such an awesome sight. I believe it was roughly a dozen cars. After seeing that it's got me thinking a little bit, and I've come up with a little idea.
LX Owners Club.
Once every month or so, there will be a small event for LX drivers. Plenty of cruising, some racing and even some cash prizes to be won. All you need is an LX4 or LX6 to participate.
I'd love to be able to beat the previous LX meet (which wasn't even planned) of 12 cars and hope to make it a regular thing. I can remember a few regulars who were amongst that meet, and also hope they'd like to join in again. PVL, 330d, Chris P (if he still plays?), were the ones I can remember.
Cash prizes will be won from a few little fun things such as a quiz (or two), best car in show (basically the best skin, prizes for both LX4 and LX6), possibly some races with various prizes. All prizes will be funded by myself (unless an admin wants to be kind?).
At this moment in time, I'd just like a show of people who would be interested in doing such event. I'd like to have the first meet at the end of this month, say the last Saturday, which is the 28th. And it will be more likely to start around 7pm GMT, but that could change if people in different timezones have a problem.
So, if you love your LX and love to cruise with other LX's, this should be ideal for you.
Thanks for reading.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I can normally be relied upon to be out in the LX anyway.

Re: LX Owners Club
Lovely idea, this kind of ideas (user arranged) is something i really like and really support.
About the dollars: I'd like to hand in cash, but tbh, if it you would arrange it with your own money (or of you collect from users, fee or donations), it would get a better feeling, more kind of street-thingie, if you know what i mean... and i guess this isnt about the money? ;) I'll help you in all the other ways you need (server, layout or whatever).

Re: LX Owners Club
Nice idea Beefy, Sure I will join that. But right now in june I am on a mission at LFSW online charts,
trying to show all oval junkies what is possible when a cruiser with an endless power is doing laps
at KY 1. Looking forward to the end of june to get back to CLC , but really no time
cause it is really hard to do 2500 km each day which is my top aim here.
See you all in july, have a nice time, stay friendly and nice to each other, P V L

2500 km at 260-300km/h / 300+ km/h (I usually race in with the XRR on the oval so I don't know the bf1 average speeds) isn't that hard to do if you have the time.Tim wrote:Are you drunk?P V L wrote:2500 km each day
@ P V L, when do you usually race? send me a pm, I haven't been on the FM servers in a little while and want to get back into oval racing. I'd love to join you in your quest to show what cruisers can do

Anyways, back on topic. I love the idea aswell. I won't be at the first meet because I'm on vacation that weekend but other meets I'll do my best to show up (depends on my one of my job's schedules though). Like max, I also love the user created events and am willing to help out with cash if need be but I like the street organized theme that you've set out. Remember, organized street racing is a crime . Might have to be an officer for a little bit of the time to add to the reality of the event.
Make up a formal post about it with rules/dates/times/events/etc... and I'll make it a sticky. It might make it easier to organize. PM me if you want to do that or if you want help with it. If you do decide to go that route just send me a pm after you make the topic. That way you'll have the ability to edit the content of the first post (verse having an admin make the topic, then you wouldn't be able to) and keep things up to date along with adding any changes to it.

Re: LX Owners Club
Thanks for the good words, and for the help offered by two admins, superb.
The racing will be done off the road (if it can be done on Kyoto Grand Prix Long, in the unused pits). I have a few ideas of how I'd like to set up a little part of the layout there, so if someone has a server I could use and edit a small part of the KY3 layout, I'd be very grateful. Or if someone (an admin preferably, as I would then know it's official and not been 'stolen' etc) could send me the layout, I could then tweak it and send it back to get approval.
It would only be drag racing in the unused pits obviously but if people want it, we can *secretly organise an illegal street race*.
I will write up an official post about this once I know how much interest there is in this. I started making some sort of e-poster for it, but it's not quite finished yet.
Thanks again for the help offered and good words guys.

I'm not going down that route again, it was painful and my jaw hit the floor when I realised what I had done.mjh93sa wrote:Just don't accidentally pay away all your money beforehand beefy
It's most definately not about the money. After I finally got all the cars available to buy ( ) I kinda have money to burn, and everyone loves the LX's so it's a good opportunity to get a big group of them together. All in the name of fun really, especially after seeing all those LX's last time, it really was a pretty sight.MaxH wrote:and i guess this isnt about the money? Another thing I was going to suggest was (if there is enough people turn up to the event) is a police escorted cruise for a few laps.Sicarius wrote: Might have to be an officer for a little bit of the time to add to the reality of the event.

I'm all over this one Beefy !
So long as Virgin dont take my internet down for a whole evening AGAIN ...
If KY3 is the track you're talking about, and you dont get the layout soonish, you can always Shift+U and "Save layout" when its up
I like the idea of having an officer or two, just to give the edge on people who decide to test the limits of their LX on the autobahn

Don't think I haven't thought about that. Generally if people just stick to the rules (which will be posted soon) and don't act like utter w*nkers, then we can all have a good time.samforey wrote:if you can keep the fools under control, that is
Remember it's all a bit of fun, not serious. Rules are there to keep things running smoothly.
