Hi all!

Today i was on the TC Server and i like the Idea to have a Cruise Radio. I think many ppl who cruise on CLC would like to listen to it, maybe every user who wants to can be a DJ (they use Radio DJ Panel) What u think of this idea?

I think it'd be a good idea, it's been brought up once before, but the guy who said he might be able to set something up didn't really try and organise it after he said he might some-day.

I was really impressed with LTC's setup, so i do think it'd be good.

i would like it...i do DJing with my brother at partys and stuff so i would drffo be in for it

Ye i noticed this on the LTC server a while ago and thought it was a brilliant idea, i was going to bring it up here on the clc forum but i didn't know who could run it. Thanks for bringing it up tho, i think it would be a brilliant addition to CLC

Can you explain how TC or LTC systems work. Does everyone listen to it or is it just on TS? Sounds like a great idea.

no, its not via TS, u listen to it via ur browser, ill try to get some informations

Well, it's rather easy for people who have a unix/linux server and use Winamp. Done that a couple times for my colleagues at work so they can enjoy some music. There's a free plugin and server called shoutcast, you can stream your local music from Winamp via a shoutcast server to everyone who wants to listen. It's a regular mp3 music stream, so its not important what kind of software you use to listen. The more people listen the more upload is needed to serve everyone. Only DJs have to use Winamp plus the appropriate plugin. Of course you can use your mic to blahblah while DJing.
Keep copyright laws in mind and don't make the server public, else you're gonna end up in the crosshair of the music industry :D

Thanks, I thought it was actually connected to the game in some way, but this sounds good.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. We could also just listen to BBC radio 1.

sound quality is as good as you want it to be. can be 96k which already is pretty good, or 64k or 128k or even 320k (which doesnt really make sense)

640K and double it, that should be enough

We have a cruise radio aswell. At th emoment we are using shoutcast and winamp
